This is final blog, I won't write to many content. I will make a short summary for INB346.
10 weeks ago, I did not know too much about Web 2.0. I had already used some of web 2.0 tools like Facebook and Wiki. In my opinion, I knew these tools are very useful but when I searched internet and found millions of people use these new tools every day. I was so surprised and I did realize how important these web 2.0 tools are for our life.
In the first few weeks, we started to think about what kinds of things should be defined as web 2.0 tool and in the class we began to know why people like to use them. Now more and more people like to use social network or blogs, because we need to communicate with them and hope more people can pay more attention to your homepage. We need to use this way to make ourselves feel satisfying and happy. That is the reason we like to update more our blogs every often or upload new pictures on the internet. Some people may think using too much web 2.0 tools means wasting your time. It may be right but we all admire web 2.0 tools have changed our mind.
Then we linked these web 2.0 tools with business in next few weeks. We began to understand these tools are not only for entertainment, they are great platforms for business. Twitter, Wiki and Facebook are very new way to promote company and communicate with potential clients. For most of companies, they need pay more attention to use them. Now only few companies notice how these tools can help for their business. So it is no deny in the future, as a staff, we can use these knowledge to help our company.
Now it is the last blog for INB346 workshop, I will keep looking for more web 2.0 information in the future.

week 9 Social network
In this page, you will know:
- How companies use Social network
- My personal experience for using Social network
Part one Social network
More and more users start to use social network. we have to agree this new technology has been became one of most important part in our daily life. More than 500 million active users are on the Facebook everyday. You can find more information on the internet and they will show how popular the social network is in our life (You can read http://www.facebook.com/press/info.php?statistics) For the most of users, social network is a good way to make new friends or communicate with old friends. However, for the company, social network is a new chance to help them to get next 1 million or 5 million dollars.
To discuss how companies to use social network, we have to mention the biggest social network web site, Facebook.
In the Facebook,if users search Kmart, they will be easy to find its Facebook main pages. In the Kmart's page, it is include huge information for example, pictures, videos, careers and so on.When people want to know more information, they will click button "like". Then they have make a friendship with this new page. so every few days, when Kmart updates new information, the clients can get news for that.
Benefit:
1)Facebook is a good platform for offering huge information for potential clients
2)When people build a new relationship with Kmart, they have to receive all the new information which Kmart will update.
3)Facebook can get the feedback from Facebook users and know what exactly they want to buy.
4) Other Facebook users can find relational Kmart content from their friends Facebook pages.
Pitfalls:
1)In Australia, there are many Kmart shops and they may be different. Facebook could not offer different pages for every shops
2)Sometime users are not interested to Kmart, they still have to receive information about Kmart.
Part two Personal ideas
I have not used Facebook for a long time. I think if you real like some companies, you can search their homepage and click "like". But if you are not interested to some companies, I suggest you do not click that button because you may receive lots of useless information.
If you have new ideas please contact with me.

Week8 Wiki
In this page, you will know:
- How companies use Wiki with their Enterprise.
- My personal experience about using Wiki
Part one: Case study about Company uses Wiki
Wiki is an important web 2.0 tool. Every day, millions of users use Wiki to search their needed information. Now more and more company realize wiki is also a good platform to promote their companies and their products.
The main features for Wiki are:
- Add text
- Link to other pages
- Create new pages
- Anybody else can do the same and/or undo whatever anybody else has done
As a free web site, more and more companies have created their company pages. like KFC, IBM and even some small companies.
KFC wiki:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KFC
Benefit:
1) Users are free to add new pages and contents.
2) Compare with other web sites, users prefer to trust Wiki.Even in the KFC homepage, we could find too much history or KFC news more than Wiki.
3) Company also can focus to their potential clients, for example, when users search "KFC" in the Wiki, the content in the English page and Chinese page are totally different. It helps to different clients to know "KFC".
4) Every volunteer can add new content to wiki pages and make KFC pages have more information
5)Link to other pages, it will help KFC pages to attract more people to read.
6) People can discuss or write their feedback in the discuss page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:KFC) it will help company to acquire clients' feeling or get good advices.
Pitfall:
1) Because everyone can create new pages, so we can not make sure every page is real.
2) When people search same topic, they may not get enough information if they only read their language's page.
3) There is no video to show more information for users.
Page two Personal ideas
Wiki is a very useful web site. It shows huge information and we can find our needed content accurately. I believe most of web users know how to use Wiki. So I only share two ideas and if you have more good ideas, we can discuss in this page:
1) We must know the key topic words. Before you search content in the Wiki, you must know the key topic words, because Wiki will offer hundreds of pages which they are included your key words.
2) No matter which topic you search, I suggest you use English page and your language's pages together, because in the English page, you will find much more information than other languages' pages.
week 7 Corporate Blogging & Micro Blogging
In this page, we will discuss:
This is week7 blog. From week 7 lecture, we have learned why blogs are important for companies and how to select a blogging platform for an enterprise.
To be honest, I was so surprised that blogs are so necessary for the company. Before the lecture, I just thought blogs was more useful for young people because they liked to upload more information very often so more people could be attracted to read their blogs. However, as a new web 2.0 tool, company can use it to post their news to more potential customers and communicate with employers. It is the so useful for companies as well
Part two ...Corporate Blogging &Micro Blogging
Corporate Blogging: corporate weblog is published and used by an organization to reach its organizational goals. The advantage of blogs is that posts and comments are easy to reach and follow due to centralized hosting and generally structured conversation threads.
Micro blogging: is a broadcast medium in the form of blogging. A micro blog differs from a traditional blog in that its content is typically much smaller.
Part three: Case studies
Case study 1 http://edelmandigital.com/
Edelman Digital is a successful corporate blogging. It is not a normal web site which just post fastest news to people. It posts new information and agree users or employees to communicate in the web site. It is obviously more popular than traditional websites.
1) The writers are different employees. It can attract more employees to pay more attention to their company web sites, it also helps employees to offer their ideas and feelings. Then employers can get these feedback so that they may change their policy and develop working efficiency.
2) Edelman has shown its potential clients that it practices what it preaches. it will make clients know more about this company.
Case study 2 http://twitter.com/
It is real hard to find other micro blogging. According to sysomos' Inside Twitter survey, based on more than 11 million users, shows that 10% of Twitter users account for 86% of all activity.
So there are two problems which we need to discuss.
1) So many people and companies like to use twitter
2)What is the pitfalls?
For the first question, the first reason is twitter is the biggest micro blogging in the world. People could search more information and companies can make sure more people can read their information. Then I think the micro blogging allow users to control who can read their micro blogs. It is a great service for companies. They can focus to their potential clients and meet their requirements. It will help them to do a good market promotion. At the same time, people can get their needed information. At the end, compare with other blogging, micro blogging did not allow users to write too long contents so they may update more easily.
For the pitfalls, the key point is users may use micro blogging to post bogus news, slander other people or even reveal trade secrets
If you have new ideas, I am glad to communicate with you.

Enterprise 2.0 week3
1. 1)Introduce different web 2.0 tools
2)Discuss how these tools can help me
3)The experience for using some new tools
Part one ---- Web 2.0 tools
Wiki-- is a free,web-based, collaborative, multilingual encyclopedia project supported by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation.
You can just imagine Wiki is an encyclopedia on the internet. It offers kinds of different knowledge and use it very easy. You just need to input the key word and then you could find relation knowledge.
It is so useful for me. Every time if I find something which I do not know, I use Wike to find answer. It is totally free and lots of volunteers write new content everyday.
I have signed up for Wiki.
Link:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
Social network-- is a social structure made up of individuals (or organizations) called "nodes," which are tied (connected) by one or more specific types of interdependency, such as friendship, kinship, common interest, financial exchange, dislike, sexual relationships, or relationships of beliefs, knowledge or prestige.
Social network has become a very popular topic during these 3 years. Everyday millions of people use Myspace or Facebook. It makes people know more information about their friends.
I like Facebook, it is a very good web site to communication with friends on the internet. You can create an activity and invite your friends to job. You can tell people your mood every hours. You can get more information about your favorite movie star. It helps people to have more funs.
Using Facebook is quite easy. You just need to follow the steps, own your personal page, upload your picture, search your friends name and write something in your wall. If you want more friends know you, you'd better put new information in your page very often.
My Facebook name is Deng cici Xi and I am glad to make friends with you.

http://www.myspace.com/
Blog -- is a type of website or part of a website. Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video.
We could think blog as your on-line magazine. Normal you can write any articles, upload pictures or link to other resources on the internet. It is also a good way for me to get information. People may write their personal idea or feeling for some serious topic, it can help you to know different people's idea and get more knowledge. You can use blog to write anything you want so you can make more friends to discuss some topic.
You have a lot of choices for making your blogs. You just need register, follow the steps and write anything, then you click the button"send".Then other people can visit your blogs.
Link: http://wordpress.org/
Rss -- is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format.
Every day there are millions of new content on the internet. For the users, they may just want to read one kinds of information. Some people use Google to find necessary information. However, it is not easy to use. Rss is like a secretary and help you to find useful information. It can save time and improve searching efficiency.
You need choose what kinds of information you are interested in, then click the button and put them in your iGoogle page. Every time you open your Google, you can find relational news.
Link:http://www.skynews.com.au/rss/
Social medial -- media for social interaction, using highly accessible and scalable publishing techniques. Social media use web-based technologies to transform and broadcast media monologues into social media dialogues.
Social medial changes our life-style.The traditional medial should be like newspaper or TV.It could not show latest news immediately. Customers could not write their feeling after they read or see the news. Social medical has more advantages than traditional medical. People can use social medical and know what had happened in other country one minute ago. Users can be free to comment content. The main different is now users can publish in the social medical by themselves.

Tagging -- is a keyword or term associated with or assigned to a piece of information
I think Tagging is great invention. You may think Tagging and linking is very similar.Sometime it's right. However, compare with linking, tagging is more function. We can find lots of linking from one key word. It helps users to save time and find more similar article to read.
Podcasting -- is a series of digital media files (either audio or video) that are released episodically and often downloaded through web syndication.
